The non-for-profit art space makes art exhibitions and projects in Norrköping and internationally and is financed by public funding from the Municipality of Norrköping, The Östergötland Region and the Swedish Arts Council. We have received project funding from Svenska Institutet, Längmanska Kulturfonden, Sparbankstiftelsen Alfa, Kulturbryggan, Linköping University Art Fund and many more.

Curatorial Program for Research (CPR) is a residency format for curators exploring various local art scenes in the world. The Baltic Sea edition will bring a group of eight curators to a number of cities in the Baltic/Nordic region.






Exchanging Notes | Part I: February | Part II: December

Norrköping, various venues

A series of seminars in Norrköping bringing local and international artists together for talks, presentations and workshops.

Selected parts of the program such as performances and screenings is public and presented at Verkstad konsthall, Norrköping Art Museum and public space. Part I was curated with Naz Cuguoğlu and Part II with Mykola Ridnyi. Workshops were led by Liv Strand. The project is a collaboration with Iaspis is the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Programme for Visual and Applied Artists.



Escaping Space | May 28- October 2

Fullersta Gård, Stockholm

A group exhibition with installations, paintings and video works by eight artists who are interested in the rules that govern physical reality. This is done by demonstrating its conditions and sometimes by suggesting ways out of the present moment. They examine the possibility to move between real and imaginary places through the power of thought or sensory impulses.

Participating artists: Louise Blad, Kah Bee Chow, Paul Fägerskiöld, Harpa Dögg Kjartansdóttir, Katarina Nord, Jenny Palén, Maja Rohwetter and Aykan Safoğlu.

A two-day event including workshops, screenings, performances and a panel discussion at the Consulate General of Sweden, DEPO and the Galata Greek Primary School. An exchange- and research project that engaged Swedish and Turkish artists and took place in various sites in the two countries during the spring of 2016. The project is a collaboration between Verkstad konsthall and the Istanbul-based Art Space maumau and the Turkish Curator Naz Cuguoğlu.

Passagen Konsthall, Linköping

A group exhibition about cultural heritage and identity. The project includes new commissioned works for Passagen Konsthall and public space as well as site specific installations in the Open-Air Museum Gamla (Old) Linköping. An international seminar was presented together with ACSIS research platform at Linköping University in May 2015. A 118 p catalouge accompanies the exhibition.

The artists Mykola Ridnyi (UKR) and Ana Londono (This is Sweden) presented their artistic practice and took part in a discussion about cultural heritage. The talk touched opon various issues such as conditions for production in different context and the importance of art in times of crisis and change. The talk was led by Bodil Axelsson and Johanna Dahlin from ACSIS.
